Interview with Rotija Badjura
At the age of 92 died architect Rotija Tija Badjura. Among other things, she dedicated her work to the planning of kindergartens and schools. Hers is the idea of a round entrance through a sewer pipe. She designed almost to the end of her life when she assisted in renovating her kindergartens. In DESSA gallery, we presented her twice: in 2014 at the exhibition From small to big, half a Century of Kindergartens and in 2019 at the exhibition To the Fore 4: the pioneers of Slovenian architecture, construction and design, created in collaboration with the France Stele Institute of Art History ZRC SAZU and Center of Architecture of Slovenia.
Interview with Rotija Badjura, published in magazine Hise 111 on June 2019 in Slovene language.
