You are cordially invited to the opening of the exhibition New View, New Life — Villa Prendić, which will be held on Monday, 15 September 2025, at 8 p.m. in the DESSA gallery.
The purpose of the exhibition NEW VIEW, NEW LIFE – VILLA PRENDIĆ is to present residential architecture from the modern period, that is, the period between the two wars, the renovation of this architecture and its adaptation to the needs of modern life while simultaneously preserving the value of the architecture itself and the starting points from which its design is derived. The exhibition presents the process of learning, studying, renovation, rehabilitation, adaptation and reconstruction, which is an example of good practice in managing cultural heritage.
Villa Prendić is the author's creation of the exceptional architect Milan Zloković. The exhibition presents the renovation of this building and, based on this presentation, the architect's oeuvre is also discussed from the perspective of his role in the establishment and operation of the Group of Modern Architects in Belgrade (Group of Modern Architects, GAMP).
